Between January 2000 and December 2007, I had a private hypnotherapy and spiritual counseling practice in Beachwood, Ohio. In February 2008, I accepted the position as Executive Director of the American Holistic Medical Association (AHMA), so I am no longer seeing clients one-on-one for hypnosis and regression. Since the mind is an incredibly powerful tool, and hypnosis can be helpful addressing a wide variety of emotional, physical and spiritual challenges, I am maintaining this website for informational purposes in the hopes of de-mystifying hypnosis.
I didn’t plan on becoming a hypnotherapist. In fact, for nearly 20 years, my career had been in
turnaround management, helping troubled companies and assisting business start-ups.
In early 1999, out of the clear blue I had
an overwhelming internal calling to study hypnosis. It didn’t make sense
to me at that time, but in my 50+ years of life, I’ve learned to heed the inner voice. So with the love
and support of my husband, my adventure in hypnosis began. By April 1999, I was certified
as a hypnotherapist, and by January 2000, I opened an office. In 2002 I was certified as a past-life therapist.
In November 2001, I again received intuitive guidance (a sudden message/idea about something I had not even been considering). This time my directive was to establish a nonprofit association related to a holistic approch to healthcare and complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). Using my general management and marketing background, and incorporating other not-for-profit experience, I formed Mind-Body-Spirit Connection (MBSC) as a 501 (c)(3) educational nonprofit professional association. Visit www.MBSConline.org for more information.
In February 2008, I accepted the position of Executive Director of the American Holistic Medical Association (AHMA). This included included relocation of its offices from Seattle, WA to Cleveland, OH and positioning the organization for significant growth.
Most of what remains on this website will help you become familiar with the type of consulting hypnosis (hypnotherapy) that was part of my practice.
I used both directive hypnotherapy and non-directive hypnotherapy, depending upon the particular client situation. My study and specialization was in the field of transpersonal hypnotherapy, which meant that guidance of our Higher Power and an individual’s innate spiritual resources prevailed within my therapeutic relationship with each client.
